Ole Miss Japanese Club Celebrates the New Year!

ACTFL Writing Familiarization Workshop

The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) facilitates foreign language education and training in all languages. The Department of Modern Languages hosted a workshop to familiarize faculty with ACTFL’s Writing Guidelines in January 2018. The UM Writing Center invited ACTFL trainer Virginia Maurer to campus for the workshop.

The Japanese Club hosted its annual Sports Day event Friday at the Croft Institute in honor of the Japanese holiday Health and Sports Day. Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival

On September 27, in Croft 107, the Chinese program celebrated the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival. Students made presentations about the cultural importance of the festival and sang songs, and Flagship instructor, Hui Zhu, demonstrated how the traditional dessert, mooncakes, are assembled.
