French at the University of Mississippi
The University of Mississippi offers an undergraduate major and minor in French as well as an M.A. in Modern Language with a specialization in French. The Department of Modern Languages has a faculty with expertise in the major fields of French language, literature and culture. Abundant opportunities exist for students to work closely with French faculty.
The Department maintains an active chapter of Pi Delta Phi, the national French Honor Society. Membership is based upon the following three criteria: completion of two courses beyond French 211; overall GPA of 3.0; and GPA of 3.5 in French courses.
