Lauren Reynolds and Diane Marting Give Talks on Latin American Literature and Culture

On Wednesday, September 20, faculty and students alike attended third and fourth installments of the Department’s lecture series, Working Papers in Modern Languages. Lauren Reynolds, Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish, presented “Immanent Potential: Youth Narratives in Latin American and Latinx Literature and Film.” Diane Marting, Associate Professor of Spanish, then made her presentation, “Strange Innocence: Luisa Valenzuela’s short story ‘Here Innocence is Born.'” The next talk, this time by Christopher Sapp on Old Norse and Eddic Poetry, is soon to be scheduled for a date in October.
