The Spanish section of the Department of Modern Languages has faculty with specializations in significant areas of Spanish language, literature, and culture. Instructors hold at least a Master’s degree and have native or near-native proficiency in Spanish. Abundant opportunities exist for students to work closely with Spanish faculty.
SIGMA DELTA PI, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, is the only honor society devoted exclusively to students of Spanish in four-year colleges and universities and is the largest foreign language honor society in existence with over 150,000 members.
