Tamara Warhol joined the Department of Modern Languages at The University of Mississippi as Assistant Professor of TESL and Linguistics in 2007 and served as Director of the Intensive English Program (IEP) for the Division of Outreach and Continuing Education from 2007 to until 2015. She received her A.B. cum laude in Religion from Princeton University and her M.S.Ed. in TESOL and Ph.D. in Educational Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Warhol teaches American and international students in the IEP, undergraduate linguistics and graduate TESL programs. Her research explores classroom and professional discourse in the humanities and the sciences; the intersection of language, gender and religion; and second language teaching and learning, with an emphasis on second language writing.
