Dr. Rafael Valadéz is a Visiting Croft Assistant Professor of Spanish at the University of Mississippi. He obtained his B.A. in Language Studies from the University of California Santa Cruz, his M.A. in Hispanic Studies at Louisiana State University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas. His research interests include Peninsular literature, film, and culture; women and gender studies; electronic literatures and digital cultures; and technology as a means of advancing the teaching of Spanish to develop engaging curriculum for the 21st century student.
