Support from the SEC Faculty Travel Grant will allow Dr. Fafulas and the Department of Modern Languages of the University of Mississippi to work with Dr. Chad Howe and the Departments of Romance Languages and Linguistics of the University of Georgia on a range of initiatives related to emerging Spanish-speaking communities in the Southeastern area of the USA, including research, student mentoring and the SEC Spanish consortium.
